Arizona's Sen. John McCain, busy preparing this week to guest-host Saturday Night Live while conducting his nationwide book tour and making other TV appearances, did not show up for a vote on a $355 billion defense spending bill.
Way to represent your state McCain!
You can read about it here.

As I walked into my office building this morning, I noticed that the trees in front of the building have all turned yellow, and I could see my breath due to the cold temperature. About the only thing good about this time of year is college football, and that's half over now. Man I'm ready for summer.

Ohio State's Maurice Clarett has played 6 college football games in his short career so far. Most of them against cakewalk teams. Now he is telling ESPN Magazine that he thinks he's ready for the NFL and may enter the draft after this season. I have two words for you: Andy Katzenmoyer. He was a college stud, and against good opponents, yet made it to the big leagues and was a huge disappointment.

We'll see how Maurice does now that we are getting into the thick of the Big10 schedule. Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan are always threats to us, this year should be no different.

I just got back from the season opener of the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. the Chicago Blackhawks. This was probably the best hockey game I've seen Columbus play yet. It also may have been the worst officiating that I've seen yet as well. At least we started the season off with a win.

What a moron! This guy had his two front gold teeth knocked out while trying to flee the scene of a bank robbery, then ran out into traffic and was hit by a van. He possibly also shot himself accidentally before getting away.
:: Wednesday, October 02, 2002 ::
The gold teeth are evidence now. It wouldn't appear that bank robbery is something he's good at.
